Labels: relief teaching
i was awakened to the sound of "doubt & trust" by access-my phone ring tone. It was kind of a rude awakening but it also meant i juz received the first call to do relief teaching. The job was kinda boring at first when all i had to do was issue out worksheets and make sure the students complete it on time. but as the day progressed there was more to do than juz looking at the students do their work, i had to handle a slightly difficult class and bring them to the library later i also had a math lesson where the teacher assigned some stuff for the students to do but had not taught them anything so i had to go thru with them some of the more basic stuff like what a coefficent was, what was a constant term and, how to solve/simplify an equation. well there after it was assembly time and i had to help mantain discipline for the lower sec. it was kinda easy job for one that pays close to an average of $12 per hour but too bad the cap is at $65 per day with a minimum of 5.5 hrs to be met. Well, i caught up with some of my teachers and saw some of my juniors, so all in all today was quite satisfying. All i hope is for more teachers to go on leave for one reason or another, after all thats the only way i will get a job hahas.
till my next post
