Labels: belated christmas at clara's hse, Christmas at club july, dinner at RamaThai, taiwan/HK trip, YEC meeting
Yo peeps, i'm back again after like 2 weeks and a day of blog drought-yea i know it kinda was hard to start again (miss me? =))
The 6 days spent in taiwan were FunHecticBoringHecticNauseatedHecticTiringHectic to describe it in a word-ok not really a word but it will be if u say it in a rush... but u get the picture. As much as i want to give a blow by blow account of the 6 days, i'm sure my sis would do a slightly better descriptive job (at least i hope) and in an effort to save space on the internet i shall not double post-ok i admit i'm making juz a teeny bit of excuses to coverup for my laziness-but the photos should be up in my facebook if all goes well with my internet (its acting cranky again)
Hong Kong
the 3 days spent in Hong Kong was less hectic, partly cos it was more free and easy and much more fun cos we were spending time with our family friends in HK, buying more of my stuff (at last) and of course we went to ocean park HK, to feel the magic of christmas, enjoy the spectecular view in the cable car ride down the mountain and last and de-fi-net-ly not the least, the thrill rides. Due to the inexplicibly-ok not really unexplainable juz like the sound of the word-long queues caused by the many chinese nationals uncouth acts of queue-cutting and the allure that the thrill rides have to the general populance that comprise of adrenaline junkies, i was only able to go on a handfull of rides in the teenage/adult-oriented area. Though i enjoyed the log ride better in taiwan, the ride in HK was more fun for another reason. The minirollercoaster "minetrain" was enjoyable as well though we weren't able to get on the real rollercoaster that looked on the map and on real live as though the constructors of the park asked their 3 year old kid to doodle on a piece of paper and then build it according to scale that would have left me with enough adrenaline to get me thru the day and more. At the kids' area, we were of course too embarrassed to sit on the ride-with the exception of my sis (who thinks she is cute enough to get away with it)-and thus spent some money on the fun fair games (dont ask we were really bad at it) and managed to win a prize whilst my uncle who was obviously more well-adapted to playing these games got away with 4 prizes with the same amount of money we spent or slightly more/less.
On the whole i enjoyed, the HK trip better than the Taiwan trip, truly the sayings that "the crowd makes the party" and "short is sweet" holds a very large amount of truth in it.
YEC Meeting
The meeting was relatively more eventful then usual as more of the old crowd were there and i invited clara along as an observer. It was kinda hilarious (no offense clara) when they thought that me and clara were a couple and tried to shoot lots of dual-pronged hidden-arrows (inside joke) at the both of us until we both admantly protested against anything that hinted at a non-platonic relationship between the both of us. Kinda sorry i missed percussion training that seemed so much fun-will try to make it tmr.
Club July
The countdown-to-christmas party with my family, my uncle(the same one who won the prizes for his kids) and his family & another group of family friends from the same clique as the HK ones. We had many games of pool (i didnt count) at a pool table i initially thought was old but turned out to be a competition-standard table at $2 per game and found out that i lost some of my skill with the cue, i could no longer up-down/double the balls, jump balls, stopball and proxy the balls as well/at all. In between the snack breaks and pool games, we sang some K and was told by quite a few ppl that my singing voice improved/was good xD (my head is not getting bigger... really...ok maybe juz a little) and we counted down to the christmas day and had some prizes up for grabs it was a pity we didnt win the top few prizes but were still not too disappointed at the consolation prize and on top of that there were individual goodie bags to be recieved (sure it was just two packets of oreos but it was the thought that counts after all the club didn't seem too busy and there were quite many customers) kudos to them for excellent service. The day ended splendidly with the countdown and it was christmas day for about an hour before we went back home to rest before heading out on the next day.
the foundue party turned out reasonably well with lots of fun and excitement during both the pre and duration of the party. cheesecake turned out quite literely a mess and no one got really drunk with the execption of wingdam who had to be sent home in a cab which might or might not be detrimental to clara's social health. but thanks clara anyways for inviting us over today and sorry i couldnt stay longer to help with cleanup and for bringing the vodka it might be still partly my fault. And i think i can safely say that the bulk of us (h@y, boey, edi, nini, sam, slow, jojo and I) enjoyed the get together at least abit, i know i did.
well thats all for this unusually long entry, kinda tired and gg to sleep soon good night all.
PS: i think i juz broke the 1200 word barrier with these words juz right about at the full-stop.
